Parking
Hotel Grand Canal is located in the center of Delft.
The hotel does not have its own parking.
At a short distance there is a public parking garage, it is possible to stop at the hotel to unload luggage.
Please note that parking along the canals is not allowed, these are reserved for residents.
You can park your car at the following parking garage:
– Zuidpoort Garage (400 meters)

Also we would like to point out that some parts in the city is car free.
Cameras with Automatic Numberplate recognition (ANPR) takes a picture of every motorised vehicle that enters the city centre. These cameras are located at the entrances of the old city centre: at the Voorstraat, Oude Delft, Vesteplein, Molslaan, Vrouwjuttenland and Nieuwe Langendijk.
If you enter a part that is car free and you don’t have a permit you will receive a fine.
Public transport
We are also just a few minutes walking distance from the central train station. Cross over at the street and walk into the “barbarasteeg“ if you look on your right you will see our hotel!
Delft is easy to reach by tram, train and bus. Below you will find some information about public transport.
Train
Delft has two stations Delft Campus and Delft Central. From station Delft Central it is only a few minutes walking to the center of Delft.
For this you need a OV chip card. If you are not in possession of an OV chip card then you can buy a single ticket or return ticket from a vending machine at the station. (Don’t forget with both cards to check in and check out).
Trams
In Delft there are 2 tram ride from the HTM. Number 1 (Scheveningen – Delft Tanthof) and number 19 (Leidsenhage – Delft New Plantation).
Tram 1 and 19 both stops at the front of the central station.
For this you need a OV chip card. If you are not in possession of an OV chip card then you can buy a single ticket with the tram driver, machine inside the tram or a day ticket at TIP. Don’t forget to check in and out with the cards. It is only possible to pay with card.
Bus
At the station there is a large bus platform. Here stops almost all city and intercity busses.
For this you need a OV chip card. If you are not in possession of an OV chip card then you can buy a single ticket from the bus driver or a day ticket at TIP. Don’t forget to check in and out with the cards.
